United Way of Palm Beach County is looking for enthusiastic individuals to fill temporary positions from July 15 to September 30, 2022. The position will pay $550.00 per week (40 hours) / $13.75 per hour, plus mileage. The Campaign Associate will assist with United Way of Palm Beach County’s Annual Fund-Raising Campaign.

Candidate must have a cheerful outlook and be personable on the phone and in person. Candidate must also have reliable transportation and experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Position Summary

To support the annual United Way of Palm Beach County workplace fundraising campaigns and act as a face of the organization in the community. The Loaned Executive, Campaign Associate will solicit leadership and corporate contributions to increase resources to help people in need throughout Palm Beach County.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Review and update information on assigned accounts, assist in the development of strategies for improving employee and corporate contributions
  • Assist Resource Development (RD) Team in prospecting new campaigns and generating new sources of revenue for United Way.
  • Work with United Way staff in setting up meetings with employee campaign coordinators (ECC’s) in the workplace
  • Work closely with ECC’s during their employee campaign to:
    1. set goals for the company based on their potential
    2. schedule and present about United Way at employee meetings
    3. close all presentations by asking employees to invest in their community
    4. monitor the progress of each campaign as conducted
    5. complete all appropriate forms, documentation and analysis needed to ensure the campaign is completed and recorded accurately
  • Deliver all materials needed for employee campaigns
  • Provide recognition to assigned accounts in the following manner:
    1. thank appropriate management for the company’s commitment
    2. recognize and thank the internal campaign committee
    3. complete awards information for each assigned account
    4. guarantee that all leadership givers are identified for United Way
  • Report progress and/or problems throughout the Campaign as they arise
  • Participate in Campaign staff meetings and full staff meetings
  • Offer ideas and suggestions that will increase contributions
  • Offer ideas and suggestions that will enhance the Loaned Executive Program
  • Speak to small, medium, or large audiences to share the United Way story

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School graduation required, college degree preferred
