Families First of Palm Beach County is seeking a Lead Therapist to work with youth and their families through the Behavioral Health Program. In addition to carrying a small caseload, the Lead Therapist, who will work in the western community, will supervise two clinicians who are co-located in two Palm Beach schools, one in Belle Glade and a school in Loxahatchee. The Lead Therapist will work as an integral team member with the Clinical Director, will offer training and supervision to clinical staff of Families First who may also be located in Belle Glade, screen clients for clinical services, offer supervision and consultations to staff (and students when applicable), and carry a small caseload of children/families.
Must have an ability to conduct in-school based consultations, work effectively as a team member of the school mental health team and the agency’s behavioral health teams, as well as in-school and in-home counseling. Experience working with children and families where there is mental health, developmental and/or behavioral concern is extremely helpful.
Licensed as a LCSW, LMHC or LMFT required, and having the ability to communicate effectively in Spanish is also preferred.
