Palm Beach Lakes High School Food for Families Challenge
Hi Palm Beach Lakes High School Rams,
Here’s an exciting opportunity to make a difference for our neighbors in need this month. Now through November 23, donate to WPTV’s Bill Brooks’ Food For Families!
This campaign is a food drive organized by WPTV in partnership with United Way of Palm Beach County aimed at helping our neighbors in need have enough to eat.
Bill Brooks’ Food For Families is named in honor of former WPTV Vice President and General Manager, Bill Brooks. Brooks was GM at WPTV from 1981-1998, and passed away after a battle with cancer.
For many hard working individuals and families in our community, putting food on the table is hard every day. During the holidays, it’s even harder.
Did you know?
-Over 300,000 residents don’t know where their next meal will come from.
-53,000 of those individuals are children.
-SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) applications increased by 380% between February 2020 and May 2020, and increased by 42% between April and May.
It’s easy to make a difference! Use the form below to donate to WPTV’s Food for Families and help United Way of Palm Beach County continue to fight hunger in our community.
If you or someone you know is in need of food, please use our Food Finder Map located here to get connected to local food resources.
Thank you, Palm Beach Lakes High School, for your generosity!
