Emergency Preparedness Volunteer Project

Happening Mar 23, 2022 | 10:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Join us for an open air volunteer opportunity! With our partner, County Emergency Management, we will be exercising what to do if there is an incident at the St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant and residents have to evacuate to PBC.

Volunteers will simulate the role of resident and follow procedures to de-contaminate vehicles and people and be connected to any needed resources. FEMA will evaluate the group’s performance during this exercise as well. Feel free to bring friends!

Volunteers must be 16 years old and over who can legally operate a vehicle and have access to their own vehicle.
