Gleaning Volunteer Project

Happening Friday, Jun 13, 2025 | 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Join United Way of Palm Beach County and CROS Ministries in feeding the hungry by picking fresh mangoes. All of the mangoes collected will be distributed to our neighbors in need and will give them access to fresh, nutritious food.

Please wear closed-toe shoes, comfy clothes, and a hat/sunscreen.

*Specific location information will be provided the week of the volunteer project. Volunteers will be sent an email with the location and directions.

ATTENTION: Mangoes are members of the poison ivy family, and their sap can cause skin dermatitis in those who are allergic. We recommend that those with that allergy not participate in this gleaning event.

Directions to the Groves

  1. From I-95:
  • Take Exit 61 for Lantana Road.
  • Turn west onto Lantana Road (away from the ocean).
  • At the first traffic light, turn left onto High Ridge Road.
  • After passing the building on the corner, look to your left for tall hedges and trees.
  • The entrance gate to the groves will be on your left, directly across from Pine Road (which will be on your right).
  • Turn left into the groves.

Important:
Do not try to access the groves through the main SWA entrance off Lantana Road — you won’t be able to reach the grove from there.

If there is a possibility of bad weather, please contact Robynne at (561) 713-4317 anytime after 7:00 am to confirm if the gleaning is still taking place.
