MISSION UNITED continues its goal of connecting veterans to resources and connecting agencies. This newsletter is part of that effort. I encourage you to share this with another veteran and continue to spread the word as we make some vital strides to make a larger and more significant impact in Palm Beach County.
The veteran community faces various challenges, many of them unique. Our Veteran Resource Map is being utilized at least once a day by local veterans and veteran families. 211 is another critical resource that provides peer support specialists and guidance for any need.

Intel Reports
The three United Ways in Southeast Florida (United Way of Palm Beach County, Broward County, and Miami) are working together on many veteran issues. It is in this spirit of collaboration that we ask for all veterans to participate in the survey below. The survey should take no more than 10 minutes but will be worth so much as we collaboratively work towards addressing the needs of the veteran community in South Florida.
Coming soon is a website directory that will give you all the savings you can handle. Enter Deal Hero, the idea of a local South Florida Vet who wants to catalog all those discounts that you can get as a military veteran. If you're tired of searching your social media, scrolling to find the name of that restaurant or store that your friend said gives you 10% off, then this site is for you. Read and Initial Board
The Read and Initial Board is the place for various bits of information. In Marine Aviation, we use these boards to publish important information that the masses need to see. Here, you will find links to flyers, events, and other important information from MISSION UNITED-funded agencies.
On July 4, 2024, The City of Boca Raton will host the annual Firecracker 5K at Florida Atlantic University. Proceeds from the race will go to United Way of Palm Beach County’s MISSION UNITED. Whether you register to run or walk in the 5K or to volunteer and assist during the event, your support is appreciated.
