Volunteer Project: Back to School PBC!

Can you believe that the new school year is just around the corner? As you know not all students have the supplies needed to begin school, and this year the need is even greater!

This year’s Back to School PBC! event will be held on Saturday, August 3rd, at four locations throughout the county, serving approximately 10,000 students. Volunteers play a crucial role in making this event possible. Volunteers are needed on both August 2nd and August 3rd.

On Friday, August 2nd, volunteers will be needed to assist with the following event set up activities: backpack organization on tables by gender and grade; setup of tents, check in and troubleshooting stations; placement of banners, traffic cones and signs. This involves bending, picking up boxes, moving tables, and more. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and unpack boxes. We welcome anyone 16 and older to volunteer for community service hours.

An additional Back to School PBC! location will be at Village Academy Delray Beach located at 400 SW 12th Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33444. All volunteers must check-in at the Village Academy School Library. Click here to volunteer on Friday, August 2nd or Saturday, August 3rd at this location.
