Elements of Effective Practice for Mentoring: Monitoring, Support and Closure
Join United Way’s Mentor Center for a workshop on the 5th and 6th standards of Elements of Effective Practice for Mentoring: Monitoring and Support (Standard 5) and Closure (Standard 6).
During the first section of the training, attendees will learn how to monitor mentoring relationship milestones, support matches through providing ongoing advice, problem-solving, and training, and learn how to access resources for the duration of each relationship. In the afternoon, attendees will learn how to facilitate bringing the match to closure in a way that affirms the contributions of the mentor and mentee, and offers the match the opportunity to prepare for the closure and assess the experience.
You may attend one or both of the trainings.
